Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 30, 2026
1. Welcome, Chief
ChiefOzzy.com is the home base for the Chief Ozzy community — gamers, Clash of Clans players, and anyone who enjoys the content. These guidelines keep this a place people actually want to hang out. They're written in plain language on purpose: the spirit matters more than the letter.
By creating an account or posting anything on the site, you agree to follow these guidelines along with our Terms of Service. If there's ever a conflict, the Terms of Service win.
2. Where these rules apply
Everywhere you can post or interact on ChiefOzzy.com, including:
- Blog comments and replies
- Forum threads and replies
- Video comments
- Polls and giveaways
- Direct messages between users
- Support tickets
- Job applications on the careers page
- Your display name and any other public profile content
Trying to dodge the rules with word games, alternate spellings, or images instead of text doesn't work — we look at what you meant, not just what you typed.
3. Be kind — no harassment or hate
Treat people the way you'd want to be treated in a clan chat. That means no:
- Harassment or bullying — targeting someone with insults, threats, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Hate speech — attacks on someone's race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic.
- Threats or wishes of harm — against any person, including yourself (see Section 5 if you're struggling).
Heated gaming debates are fine. Making it personal is not.
4. Keep it clean — this is a community all ages visit
- No sexual content involving minors, ever. This is zero-tolerance and non-negotiable. It includes sexualized images, text, or roleplay involving anyone under 18, and attempts to contact minors for sexual purposes. Violations are removed immediately, accounts are permanently banned, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
- No explicit sexual content of any kind — keep posts family-friendly.
- No glorification of real-world violence or gore.
5. If you or someone else is struggling
We don't run automated self-harm detection on your messages — no keyword scanner is watching for crisis language, and your direct messages are end-to-end encrypted so we can't read them. If you're worried about someone, reporting is how a real person gets involved: you can report a message and choose "Someone may harm themselves" as the reason. Those reports jump to the front of the line, a person reviews them as a priority, and the person reporting sees crisis resources.
One separate exception: DMs pass through a narrow child-safety screen that looks for grooming-pattern indicators. For encrypted messages this check runs on your device before encryption. Flagged messages are still delivered — a copy is simply queued for a human moderator to review. It never blocks, deletes, or restricts an account on its own.
If you're going through it right now: you matter, and help exists. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line). Outside the US, visit findahelpline.com. Reaching out for help will never get your account in trouble.
6. Be honest — no scams, spam, or impersonation
- No impersonation — don't pretend to be Chief Ozzy, a moderator, another user, or any public figure.
- No scams or phishing — fake giveaways, "free gems" links, credential harvesting, or anything designed to trick people out of accounts or money. The only real giveaways are the ones listed on our Giveaways page — anyone else offering Chief Ozzy prizes is running a scam.
- No spam — don't flood comments or inboxes with ads, repetitive posts, referral links, or off-topic promotion. One thoughtful comment beats ten copy-pasted ones.
- No malware — don't share links or files meant to harm devices or steal data.
7. Respect other people's work
Don't post content you don't have the right to share — that includes other creators' videos, artwork, music, and text. If you're the copyright owner (or their agent) and your work shows up here without permission, our copyright notice-and-takedown process is the way to report it. If your account collects three active copyright strikes within 90 days, it is automatically locked and flagged for review, with a 30-day window to dispute the strikes. Termination is a separate decision made after that review — it isn't automatic. Filing deliberately false notices can get your account terminated.
Short quotes, credit, and linking back to the source go a long way. When in doubt, link instead of copying.
8. Play fair
This is a gaming community, so let's keep the game honest:
- Don't share or promote cheats, hacks, exploits, modded clients, or anything designed to break Clash of Clans or other games.
- Don't buy, sell, or trade game accounts here — it's against most games' rules and it's a scam magnet.
Strategy guides and honest tips? Always welcome.
9. Keep personal information private
- No doxxing — never post someone else's real name, address, phone number, email, school, workplace, or other identifying info without their clear permission.
- Protect your own info too — don't post your address, phone number, or other sensitive details publicly.
10. Stay on topic
Blog comments should relate to the post they're on. Forum threads should go in the right category and stay on the thread's topic. Video comments should relate to the video they're on. Support tickets are for getting help, not chatting. Job applications should be genuine. Off-topic posts may be removed so the right conversations stay easy to find.
11. How moderation works
This site is run by a small team (okay, mostly one person), so moderation mixes automatic filters with human review:
- Blog comments: your first comment is always held for review. After that, comments post automatically unless they trip the spam filters (like stuffing in lots of links). Obvious spam is quarantined. You can report any comment you think breaks these guidelines, and you can always delete your own comments.
- Forums: threads and replies post immediately. Spam filters catch obvious junk, and moderators can pin, lock, or remove threads that break these guidelines. Unlike blog comments, you can't delete your own forum posts — if you need something removed, contact support and a person will help.
- Video comments: comments post immediately unless they trip the spam filters, in which case they're quarantined for review. Like forum posts, you can't delete your own video comments — contact support if you need one removed.
- Polls: one vote per account per poll, and votes are final — there's no un-voting, so pick carefully.
- Giveaways: one entry per account per giveaway. When a giveaway closes, one winner is drawn at random from the entries. The giveaway page notes that a winner was drawn, and the winner is notified by email.
- Direct messages: DMs are end-to-end encrypted, which means we can't read them — unless you report one. When you report a message, its decrypted content is shared with moderators so a human can review it. A narrow child-safety screen also runs (on your device, before encryption for encrypted messages) and only forwards flagged copies to a human reviewer — it never blocks or deletes on its own. So: the rules still apply in DMs.
- Reports: every report is reviewed by a person, not a bot. Urgent reports — like someone possibly harming themselves — are handled first.
12. What happens if you break the rules
Consequences scale with what happened and whether it's a pattern:
- Content removal — the post or comment comes down. Obvious spam may be quarantined automatically, but a person always makes the final call.
- Account lockdown — the account is locked and signed out everywhere while we review what happened. Lockdowns are lifted if the review clears you.
- Termination — the account is closed for good. Serious violations (Section 4 especially) skip straight to this.
Ban evasion — making new accounts or using other devices to get around a ban — leads to permanent bans across every account and device we can identify. If you were banned by mistake, contact support instead (Section 13). It's the only path back.
13. Think we got it wrong?
Moderation isn't perfect. If your content was removed or your account was locked and you believe it was a mistake, contact support through the site and explain what happened — a person will take another look. There's no formal appeals queue, so the support ticket is the way to reach us. Be honest about what happened — it goes a lot further than arguing.
14. Changes to these guidelines
The community evolves, and so will these guidelines. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated guidelines.
Thanks for helping keep ChiefOzzy.com a place worth visiting. Now go win some clan wars. ⚔️
